In a new documentary, The Most Beautiful Boy in the World, directors Kristina Lindström and Kristian Petri tell the story of his overnight transformation from lonely teenager into screen icon in 1971, when director Luchino Visconti cast him as the exemplar of adolescent male beauty in his movie Death in Venice. ![]() Now 66, Andrésen remains best known for the natural beauty he possessed as an adolescent boy. This scene, which marks the moment that Midsommar turns unbearably gory, is elevated by Andrésen’s elegance his few lines are mostly hummed, but with his rangy El Greco limbs and the way his hair floats upward when he falls, Andrésen brings to Midsommar a quality one can only call grace. ![]() In Ari Aster’s 2019 film, Midsommar, he played the elderly man with long, gray hair who participates in the Harga community’s terrifying clifftop “Ättestupa” ritual. ![]() Though you may not know the name Björn Andrésen, you may well recall his face. ![]()

Verity lowell5/29/2023 ![]() ![]() Time will tell if this was indeed a successful ransomware attack or merely a disruptive cyber incident. It’s encouraging to see Lowell officials optimistic about the integrity of the data on city servers, but these incidents too often end up with hackers revealing they’ve stolen precious data and putting it up for sale on hacking forums - or extorting the victim in exchange for not leaking the data. Officials said 911, Fire and Emergency phones were not impacted. She is an art historian, former appraiser, and occasional curator who teaches at a New England liberal arts college. MIS is now developing a plan to address the issue and, out of an abundance of caution, will keep all systems offline while working to secure them. Vanessa Lyon is the author of The Groves (an Audible Original) and Meet Me in Madrid, under the pseudonym Verity Lowell. "The other professionals in law enforcement have looked at this, and we're all comfortable, but it's going to take us a little bit of time," Golden said in a press conference. The incident bears the signs of a typical ransomware attack, but city officials say there is no reason to believe any data has been compromised. The city’s Management Information Systems Department (MIS) determined the best course of action was to isolate affected systems for troubleshooting, leaving some servers, networks, phones, and other systems inaccessible. "We realized Monday morning around 3 to 5 am that there was a breach," said City Manager Tom Golden. The city of Lowell in the US state of Massachusetts has been hit by a cyber attack impacting the municipality's IT systems. ![]() ![]() Trish Marx, Hanna's Cold Winter, Carolrhoda Books (Minneapolis, MN), 1993.Īpril A. So, it was tremendously flattering, but also a huge relief. The timing was just so ridiculous, because I was at that point of hating the manuscript, and at the same time feeling pretty good about it because it was the first book of that length I had ever written and it was a troublesome book, originally over 200 pages, I think, that I had to whittle down to its current 80-whatever pages.
